February 7, 2009

Today was the first day of remodel. We haven’t had time to go out and see our new home since we dropped it off in the beginning of January. School has been overwhelmingly busy and it seems finding time to make the 40-mile drive to Hamilton will be a challenge. My mom has visited from Bozeman to tag along and help us today.

List of progress

• Removed all loose, misplaced, and extra components that were left on the floor and in cabinets.
• Disassembled couch, desk, and dining table from front living area.
• Removed sticky-back linoleum tile from floor put down by previous owner.
• We kept all screws and usable components. Much of what we threw away was unusable and beyond repair.

Tools and Supplies

• Cordless driver drill (philips/ flathead bit)
• Hand philips screwdriver
• Hand flathead screwdriver
• Hammer
• Five-in-one
• Utility knife
• W-D 40
• Contractor quality trash bags
